Armed Forces Day in Green Park, Second Life

Second Life also celebrates the First Armed Forces Day.

vLondon residents in Second Life joined thousands of people with the celebrations intended to thank serving troops, their families and veterans for their contribution.

The Armed Forces Day flags were flown by councils, businesses, schools and homes across the UK and also in the virtual recreation of Green Park and City of London in Second Life.

Visitors from different parts of the World participated in these celebrations held in Second Life and listened to the tunes of the British anthem in honour of the Armed Forces. This year's national event host city is Chatham, and Cardiff, in Wales, has been chosen as the host city of the 2010 Armed Forces Day.
